A Green Port is a port that adopts environmentally sustainable practices to reduce its carbon footprint — including shore power (onshore power supply), alternative fuels, electrification of equipment, smart energy management, and compliance with IMO emissions regulations. Malaysia's Green Port Policy (2020–2025) sets the framework for Malaysian ports to transition toward net-zero operations.
